Health, Dental & Vision Coverage Plan

NAITSA has worked to design and implement an affordable health and dental insurance plan for NAIT students.
All credit students enrolled in a credit class automatically receive the NAITSA Student Benefits Plan. The applicable medical and dental fees are charged to your student account split between the Fall and Winter terms. The Student Benefits Plan is a mandatory extended health and dental plan, which is a supplement to existing provincial health care coverage.

Opting out of the Medical and/or Dental Plan

Each student is given the opportunity to waive benefits under the student health and/or dental plan(s) each benefit year. If you have comparable coverage through another insurance carrier (BlueCross, Great West Life, Manulife etc.) and you would like to opt-out of the NAITSA Student Benefits Plan and its fee, you must fill out the waiver form and provide the Student Benefits Office with confirmation of comparable coverage.

To waive the Student Benefits Plan, all forms and supporting documents must be received by the applicable deadline.

Mental Health

It’s ok to talk about it. Let’s listen to each other and together we can reduce the stigma around mental health. If you or someone you know needs support, access our on campus resources below.

“You never know what people are going through. Some people are happy on the outside and deep down they feel like the world is against them.”

— Karen (Marketing ’18) Vice President External, NAITSA
